Elizabeth Lunney
I’ve spent more than 30 years making nonprofits stronger. I build board leadership, expand fundraising capacity, strengthen financial management and develop mission-focused programs. I’m happiest when I see organizations being creative and inclusive in defining the role of community in their work.
I served as executive director at Washington Trails Association for more than a decade, helping the organization leverage what was then a fledgling volunteer program and a little-known web site. I helped establish a major gifts program, hired staff to advocate at the state and federal level, and brought on field staff to expand the organization’s presence statewide.
Since then, I have served as interim executive for more than a dozen local, regional and national organizations, including BirdNote, Good Cheer (Whidbey Island), Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, and the Vashon Maury Island Land Trust. You can visit my LinkedIn page for more details.
When I’m not having to sit still for a meeting, you’ll find me running around outside: beaches, mountains or desert. Wherever the wind blows.
